EXCURSION PROGRAM AND SCHEDULE

DAY 1 / OCEAN COAST / EDGE OF THE EARTH

1. Gathering of participants

The tour guide will pick you up at the place of departure in Murmansk, which will be convenient for you. It is not only convenient, but also exciting - we will ride around the city to pick up other participants of the excursion.

2. Way to Teriberka

→ Distance to Teriberka 130 km, duration 2.5 hours, including stops.
Nature and landscape change along the way - rocky tundra and lakes will accompany the path to the very coast of the ocean. Therefore, we make several stops in picturesque places for communication and landscape photosets with the Arctic tundra, lakes and northern expanses.

2.1. "Landscapes of the Tundra" is a must-see landscape stop with panoramic views and expanses of the tundra. Here we traditionally take pictures and enjoy beautiful views.

2.2. "Station Seid" - the place where the seid is located - a stone that stands on several small stones. The origin and purpose of the seids, of which there are thousands on the Kola Peninsula, are legendary. The most popular version is that seids are located in places of power and enhance the flow of energy coming from the Earth. For this reason, some travelers are filled with energy from seids and make their wishes come true. True or not, but at least it is worth seeing seids with your own eyes ...

3. Arrival to Teriberka

Upon arrival in Teriberka, before the start of the excursion, the guide conducts a basic safety briefing - some locations require increased attention and caution. Then, preparation for the excursion - the participants of the excursion take everything they need and leave everything unnecessary in the car so that the excursion is as comfortable as possible.

4. Teriberian sentry

At the entrance to the village along the Serebryanskaya road, after the sign to Teriberka, there is a man-made scarecrow in full human growth. The sentry greets the guests, and at the same time acquires new accessories. Caring tourists have provided him with a reflective vest, goggles, skis, and even a badminton racket. The list of "wealth" is constantly growing. Nearby there is a car frozen into the ground.

5. Dragon's Lair

There is no better description of this place, so we quote: “The local aborigines, the Kola Chukchi, who breed deer and northern fluffy dolphins here, have a legend that the embryos in the eggs did not die at all. They simply fell into long-term suspended animation, like bacteria that flew to the still lifeless earth together with comets from Space. And therefore, when the climate in 20 years becomes completely warmer, the embryos will wake up, hatch, and then the ringed Chukchi will no longer have to breed small deer in which there is very little meat. It will be enough to kill one dinosaur, and there will be enough food for the entire Kola-Chukchi tribe for six months. The skeleton of one such pregnant lizard was found, and inside its petrified womb, a heap of maturing eggs. "

6. The beach with dragon eggs

This fabulous place has several names, they are associated with dragons and dinosaurs. Fantasy shots really come to mind from the view of this beach. The coast is covered with huge snow-white spherical stones, almost half a meter in diameter. The locals say that if they are thrown into the fire, a real dragon will hatch! But so far no one has tried, fortunately 8) The walk along them, as well as the descent to the beach, are quite difficult. Dexterity and comfortable non-slip shoes are required.

7. Lunch break

To refresh yourself for further adventures, we will have a light but hearty snack and drink some vitamin tea. And after enjoying a picnic in the fresh air with a view of the Arctic, we will go on to conquer all the sights of Teriberka!

8. Waterfall of Small Battery Lake

This waterfall is considered the most famous on the Kola Peninsula. There is a small picturesque lake not far from the coast of the Arctic Ocean. A beautiful waterfall flows down the stones from its slopes. The water stream is framed by rocks; just before the sea, it passes through a deep gorge and connects with the ocean waters. It offers stunning endless views of the ocean to the very horizon - only the North Pole is further away! One of the most popular photo zones. If we are lucky, we will see marine life from the shore.

9. Small Battery Lake

It got its name for its close location to the artillery battery, the remains of which have survived to this day. The lake is very clean, shallow, so the water has time to warm up well in the short arctic summer. Thanks to this, fans of swimming and sunbathing gather here, the entrance to the water and the bottom are sandy. Slightly higher is the Battery Lake, both reservoirs are connected by a stream.

10. Bird market

Under favorable weather conditions, we will climb the rock to see the gull nesting site. It also offers a stunning panoramic view of the ocean from above.

11. Ship graveyard

Before entering the village, there is a local landmark, which has become the most popular photo zone. These are the remains of old wooden ships, the former fleet of a fishing collective farm. They lie on the shore and in shallow waters, recalling the recent fishing past of Teriberka. Now industrial fishing and fish procurement are in decline here. During a storm, debris and skeletons drift along the coast, changing their position.

12. Old Teriberka

Old Teriberka - Teriberka area, which contains many abandoned and destroyed buildings. Namely, the oppressive atmosphere of ruin and decline reigning there served as symbolic scenery for the sensational film "Leviathan". We go there to feel the difference between natural and man-made in contrast to the vastness of the Arctic Ocean.

12.1. Abandoned school - in the Soviet past, when the village was at the peak of its development, a large modern school was built. As residents left Teriberka, there were no students left at the school, and it was closed. Today, a large three-story building in the center of the village is a sad reminder of a bygone era.

12.2. Old houses are old houses like ghosts. Let's walk along a tangent and take a peek, take a gloomy or not-so-great photo for the collection.

12.3. The Teriber Brewery is a popular place for obvious reasons. If you wish, you can take freshly brewed foam with you.

13. Sandy beach

Despite the fact that Teriberka is located in the tundra zone, there are also summer activities here. In the bay of the river in front of the mouth there is a large beach covered with white sand. The places are absolutely wild, but very popular among fans of camping and beach recreation. The weather is good from July to September, but the water rarely warms up above +11 degrees. However, if you want to tell your grandchildren later that you swam in the Arctic Ocean, then you can swim :)

14. Giant swing

The giant swing is a functional art object installed to increase the tourist attraction of Teriberka, the largest swing in the arctic zone. You can swing high on the swing and take impressive photos!

15. Skeleton of a whale from Leviathan

The skeleton of a whale from the film "Leviathan" is an art object from the controversial famous film by Andrey Zvyagintsev, symbolizing in the film a Country gnawed by corruption and servility. The restored whale skeleton, with the assistance of the Governor of the Murmansk Region, was returned to the coast in 2021 as a valuable art object. The skeleton is really impressive in its dimensions and is great for unique photographs!

16. Throne of Neptune

An impressive art object made in the style of the iron throne from the world's most popular TV series "Game of Thrones". Perfect for fun photo shoots and series fans.

17. Sperm whale skeleton

• We DO NOT rent transport for excursions and tours. Therefore, we know the technical condition of our cars to the smallest detail and regularly undergo preventive maintenance in order to exclude any malfunctions during travel.
• In our fleet there are 2 modern comfortable minibuses for prefabricated and corporate minigroups up to 7 people and 1 crossover for individual (up to 3 people) and VIP travel.

We conduct tours and excursions in the mini-group format for up to 7 people, since the mini-group format has a number of advantages:
